Spookees (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website spookees.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

a) Information You Provide: When you generate a Spookee character, we store the character data (traits, name, artwork) and associate it with your account or session. If you create an account, we collect your display name and email address.

b) Automatically Collected Information: We collect basic server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for site performance and security purposes only.

c) Cookies: We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use collected information to:

  • Operate and maintain the website and gallery
  • Display your generated characters in the public gallery
  • Associate characters with their Creators
  • Improve site performance and fix issues
  • Communicate with you about your account (if applicable)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

CHARACTER DATA AND THE PUBLIC GALLERY

Characters generated on Spookees are displayed in the public gallery by default. Your Creator name (display name or alias) may be shown alongside your character. If you wish to have a character removed from the gallery, contact us at boo@spookees.com.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We may feature characters on third-party platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Discord) as part of our social media presence. We do not share your personal information (email, IP) with these platforms. Only publicly visible character data (artwork, name, traits, Creator display name) may appear on these channels.

DATA RETENTION

Character data is retained indefinitely as part of the permanent gallery. Account information is retained as long as your account is active. Server logs are retained for no more than 90 days.

YOUR RIGHTS

You may:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated email/personal data
  • Request removal of your character from the public gallery

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Spookees is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

SECURITY

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
